Introducing Tiffany Young, Esq.
Tiffany Young was the first Associate hired at Williams, McClernan & Stack, LLC (“WMSLawyers”) in October 2020, and has been a wonderful addition to the firm. Tiffany represents clients in family law matters including divorce and custody, as well as estate planning matters such as wills, powers of attorney and advance medical directives. Tiffany enjoys assisting clients navigate through trying times in their lives, by helping to advocate for them as well as being a voice of reason.
Prior to joining WMSLawyers, Tiffany worked in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties as a Staff Attorney with Maryland Legal Aid’s Southern Maryland Office (“MDLAB”). As a Staff Attorney at MDLAB, Tiffany represented children in child welfare proceedings at tumultuous, traumatic and triumphant times of their lives, including removals, termination of parental rights hearings and adoptions. Tiffany understood that helping youth meant doing more than just attending hearings. She understood that helping the family unit as a whole, also helped the youth she represented. To this end, she worked with Family Recovery Court in Charles and St. Mary’s Counties to assist families with substance abuse issues gain wrap-around services with the goal of being reunited with their children. Tiffany also worked with the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Southern Maryland’s advisory board to help implement strategies and a new curriculum for CASA appointees.
Tiffany received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Dance from American University in 2014. She furthered her education at the University of Baltimore, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree with honors in 2017.
Tiffany is a board member of the Charles County Families in Recovery, Inc. non-profit, which assists the Family Recovery Court program. She is also a member of the Leadership Southern Maryland Emerging Leaders Program (LEAP)’s Class of 2022.
Tiffany is a newlywed to her husband Antonio. The two married in 2021 and are new residents to St. Mary’s County.
In her free time, Tiffany enjoys singing, baking and teaching dance.
