As an associate attorney at Williams, McClernan, & Stack LLC since July 2025, Robert Blizard currently works in the following areas for the firm: criminal; estate planning; peace/ protective orders; estate administration; collections; and other District Court matters (including small claims). Prior to joining the Firm, Rob prosecuted misdemeanor criminal and serious traffic cases in St. Mary’s County District Court.

Rob attended George Mason University Law School in Arlington, VA, and finished in 2023 after more than 30 years of full-time work experience. Rob obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Rob’s career experience includes twenty years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising positions in the animal welfare field, with five of those years as executive director of a local SPCA. Rob became interested in animal issues after adopting two dogs from a DC shelter and decided to make a change from the marketing and editorial positions held earlier in his career.
In Sept 2019, Rob decided to go to law school looking for a new challenge in a second career as he loved watching trials and legal commentators. Following law school, Rob clerked for The Honorable Amy D. Lorenzini, Judge for St. Mary’s County Circuit Court. Following his clerkship, Rob worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney with the St. Mary’s County State’s Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted cases in St. Mary’s County District Court. Rob’s goal is to help everyone who is his client.
